The beta test is complete — FareWrangler will be in the App Store and on Google Play shortly.
Hear what an offer really pays. Keep your eyes on the road.
FareWrangler reads the offer card on your screen and says its dollars-per-hour out loud: total pay over the time of every leg, worked out the same way for every Uber and Lyft offer (and DoorDash on Android). Green when it clears your line, red when it doesn’t. It never taps Accept or anything else — you decide.
No account and no FareWrangler server. Your rides stay on your phone and the devices you pair; the only things looked up online are the area of each pickup, through your phone’s own address service, and the Map’s background.
Android and iPhone, the same app on both.
Free download. Your 7-day free trial starts the first time the reader runs (on Android, also the first time a reservation alarm rings). After that, one purchase unlocks FareWrangler for life, with every update. No subscription.
What it does
Know your real pay before you accept — without doing the math yourself.
Tap to see it
Hear the real rate
iPhone
Set the $/hr you need. The moment an offer lands, FareWrangler says the rate out loud and shows it — green when it clears your line, red when it doesn’t — so you can decide without taking your eyes off the road. Choose what else it reads: the fare, trip time, distance, even the pickup street. On iPhone the rate shows in a small floating window.
Your shift at a glance
iPhone
Home shows your day so far — your rate, the offers you’ve been shown and the best time to drive — all worked out from your own offers, all on your phone.
A ride log that remembers
iPhone
Every offer it reads is saved — a picture of the card, cropped to the card, with its $/hr, on your phone. Look back over a shift at everything that came in and how it paid, each one marked green or red against your line.
It learns your market
iPhone
The more offers it sees, the sharper it gets: your best days and hours, and which platform is paying you most right now — all from your own history, all on your phone.
Know where good fares start
iPhone
Hotspots ranks the areas your pickups start in by what they pay you — from your own rides, not a guess about the whole city.
A map of your own rides
iPhone
The map puts your pickups where they happened, in bubbles sized by how many rides and coloured green, amber or red against your line. The Map’s background and the area of each pickup are looked up online; your rides themselves stay on your phone.
Reservation alarms
iPhone
Reservation offers arrive as notifications and are easy to miss mid-shift. On Android, FareWrangler spots them and rings — even over the lock screen — and reads the fare, time and trip length aloud, for as long as you set. Tap Open to jump to the driver app and decide; it never accepts for you. On iPhone, a reservation is read when you open it in the driver app; iPhone doesn’t let FareWrangler alert you when one first arrives. What it says, get-ready reminders and how long it keeps ringing are all your call.
Drive with a partner, sync your devices
iPhone
Drive with a partner shares your ride numbers, pickup areas and where you were when offers came in — never a picture of a card, locations rounded to about a block, no drop-offs — with the partners you choose. Pair phones once with a QR code and they swap new rides over your Wi-Fi, or send a file. A separate pairing keeps your own devices in sync, Android or iPhone, in any mix. Nothing goes through a server, and there’s no account.
